 January 16th, 2024 Energy: 8/10          Sleep Quality: 8/10 Emotions: 1. Anticipation - I felt a mix of anticipation and focus while preparing for the drive back to JMU from my home in New Jersey. Response: I acknowledged this by packing my belongings the night before and setting up a playlist to make the drive more enjoyable. 2. Fatigue - I felt some fatigue after driving for about six hours. Response: I acknowledged my tiredness by stopping for a short break, stretching, and grabbing lunch to recharge before continuing to drive. 3. Relief - I felt relieved when I arrived at school, knowing the long drive was over and I had made it safely. Response: I took a moment to rest and unpack a little before settling in for the evening. I reminded myself to pace the rest of my day.  January 14th, 2024 Energy: 6/10          Sleep Quality: 8/10 1. Independence - I feel a sense of independence while driving by myself to the beach. Response: I acknowledge this feeling by enjoying the drive, listening to my favorite music, and appreciating the freedom of being on my own. 2. Peacefulness - I felt peaceful while walking on the sand, even though it was very cold. Response: I embraced the moment by focusing on the sound of the waves, the texture of the sand under my feet, and the cold air. I reminded myself how refreshing it felt to be by the ocean, even in the cold. 3. Creativity - I felt creative and inspired while taking photos of the beach.  January 12th, 2024 Energy: 9/10            Sleep Quality: 8/10 1. Excitement: As I prepared to go for dinner and the NBA game in Washington, DC, I was filled with excitement. Response: I allowed myself to take in the suspense to acknowledge my enthusiasm. As I got ready for the evening, I took my time choosing an outfit and made sure to be present in the moment. 2. Enjoyment: The delicious food and the lively atmosphere during dinner made me feel incredibly grateful. Response: I stayed in the moment by paying attention to the tastes, the restaurant's atmosphere, and the table conversation. I also paused to consider how fortunate I was to have this experience. 3. Euphoria: When the audience cheered following a great play during the NBA game, I felt very happy. January 11th, 2024 Energy: 7/10          Sleep Quality: 6/10 Emotions:  1. Excitement: As I was shopping with my mom, I was excited to go looking for things I liked while thinking about potential outfits for back to school.  Response: I allowed myself to appreciate the process to acknowledge my excitement. I continued to be conscious of my decisions, enjoying the chance to spoil myself and try on different outfits. 2. Joy: As my mom and I talked over dinner, I felt happy and fulfilled, knowing I am going back to school soon. Response: I stayed present, listened to her stories with genuine attention, and relaxed at the table. I told her how much I appreciate having her in my life and thanked her for the time we spent together. 3. January 9th, 2024 Energy: 9/10          Sleep Quality: 8/10 Emotions:  1. Gratitude: Knowing that I had a minute to take care of myself and begin my day in peace made me feel thankful while I ate breakfast. Response: I took a moment to enjoy the meal in front of me, enjoying all of it. I also thought about how this small routine makes my day more positive. Focused: As I went through the poses and focused on my breathing, I felt grounded and centered during my yoga class this morning. Reaction: By being in the moment while turning myself over to the experience, I recognized this emotion. I reminded myself to value the relationship between my mind and body. 3. Calmness: After my yoga class, I was happy to lay on the couch and enjoy some quiet time. Response: I put away distractions and just let myself be, leaning into the silence. January 7th, 2024 Energy: 8/10          Sleep Quality: 7/10 Emotions:  1. Tired- I woke up feeling quite tired because I stayed up late on my phone. I felt a little slow as I went about my day and decided to move my body by going for a walk. Response: I noted my tiredness without passing judgment. I chose to hydrate with water and lay on the couch rather than exercising further. Later, I changed my evening schedule to allow for more relaxation. 2. Pride: Despite the cold, I was proud of myself for taking a walk. I wanted to stop at times but I pushed through because I wanted to get good exercise.  Response: I celebrated my resilience to appreciate this moment. I concentrated on the fresh air during my walk and how energetic I felt afterward, which strengthened how I felt about my walk. 3.
